This sounds good but if it doesn't have the catch, if you're not careful, or if someone not familiar with it opens it all the way, it could easily slip out of your hand and land on top of the console, scratching the wood. I know...I've had it happen to me before....

Just recently bought a gx470 and looking for something to replace the front dash ashtray and stumbled on this thread. sewell link is no longer good does anyone have any leads on an alternate system or another option instead of the ashtray?
