Default a couple of pics from Colorado last week

A couple of pics from my trip to Colorado last week.

These are from early morning on Spring Creek Pass.

GX dash thermometer read 39 degrees and later same day
in Wichita Falls, Texas it read 104 degrees!

Ouch!

Nice pics! I lived in Durango CO for a few years. I'm familiar with Red Mountain Pass and Wolf Creek Pass, but where's Spring Creek Pass?

Thanks guys!

It was nice to escape the Texas heat for a week.

Spring Creek Pass is in southwest Colorado
on Highway 49 between Lake City, Colorado and Creede Colorado.

Uh, that's cold (slighty funny, but cold).

To Zep, very nice shot, that fog looks spooky. Are those 22" rims?

re: "Man killed while standing in road taking a picture of his car"

I actually did see a moose on Spring Creek pass. I bet we were over a 1000 yards a way, but when we stopped and got out to look with binoculars that moose looked right at us and stared us down. Those things are very alert of everything.

Default On Top of the world

Speaking of Colorado, everyone should visit the highest paved road in the world at 14,130 feet (Mt. Evans). It even has been fun getting here from NY .

If you look carefuly above and to the right of the sign, you can see downtown Denver !!!
