Default Anyone done their own brakes?

My brakes are in horrible condition needs all 4 pads replaced and all 4 rotors needs to be machined(got rusted). Has anyone dones this on their own? where do i take my rotors get machined and what would something like this cost? i found original pads for $45 per axle. I have done my 02 ES300 couple of times, is it alot harder? and can i use same jack and jack stand? it is 2 1/2 ton jack and jackstand. Thank You

I've done both rotors and pads on both my GX470 and RX330. Very easy to do if you've done them on your ES before. The rotors should pop off by turning a screw/bolt into the face of the rotor...the pads will come off easy since you need to take the capilers off to get to rotors off. I used Akebono Ceramic pads and bought the rotors through RockAuto (can't beat their pricing). Make sure you use something like Wurth Anti-squeel spray on the pads to you don't get any noise.

I replaced all 4 pads and rotors on my 03 GX, the only minor setback I had was the frozen front rotor on the hubs, a couple of choice words and strikes with a mallet solved that problem.

I cleaned and greased all the caliper pins, hubs and wheel lugs before putting everything back together.

I got my GX at 51k miles and the brakes were warped when I test drove it, the dealer resurfaced them but only to warp again by 55k so I decided to replace all 4 of them.

No idea if the previous owner had any rotor work done.

Pads are real easy. Most O'Reilly's can work the rotors.
