Default Importance of GX470 Off-Road Capabilities

Since this subject was recently brought up in another discussion https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...-gx-460-a.html I would like to ask my fellow CL members a question:

How important to YOU were the off-road capabilities of the GX and if it was a factor in your decision to buy the GX vs any other vehicle.

Honestly, my response should be somewhere between "nice to have" and the "mall."

It was more important to me that it looked like it could go off road!

Having an option, and when the need comes would be useful.

lol.

I'm actually making mine look more "off road" ready as we speak. Bull bar, extra fog lights and soon to be bigger off road tires with aftermarket rims.

Out here in the PacNW there are some cool logging trails, ski trips, etc... even tho most of the trucks life will be spent taking me back and forth to work... I hope it sees some offroad duty at least once in awhile.

Installed the bull bar with some fogs today. It looks pretty cool in person, not sure if I got the right angle in the pics.

Now I just need some 18" black rims with some off road tires to complete the look.

Looks sweet. Is the bar color-matched or is it black? Kinda hard to tell from the pictures.

I have taken my off a few times, not just dirt roas but some pretty scary stuff (for me). GX handled it great and was pretty tickled about our buying decisions afterwards.

Mainly just need it at the boat ramp.
Couple snows a year make it useful too.

Rather you go off road or not, most GX buyers like the toughness of a off road capable SUV as oppose to a cross over.

Off road ability to me is a must. If all i needed was awd for foul weather id get something a lot more fun like an evo or sti. But I love 4wheeling and with just a few tweeks the GX is a great trail car. At the trails people look at me like im crazy until i remind them its just a fancy 4runner. I think when people think Lexus suv the first thing that comes to mind is the rx.

Default Awesome Off Road Vehicle

It was important for hauling capabilities and being able to go camping. I found that I took it off road and now that we live in the Colorado Mountains, the off road capability is hugely important to daily commute. LOVE LOVE LOVE the GX470. There isn't anything that this vehicle hasn't handled yet!

And the survey results will prove what?
That people buy GX's for different reasons?
