MD Changer
I looking for any insight to this. I saw it on the VAISTECH sight. I dont see
it in my 06 manual. What does MD stand for,is it a deal breaker if I don't
have it. I'm worried about messing with the dash trim.

The audio system is capable of accepting a mini disc setup, which is a music hard drive which can be installed in the GX. Vaistech has been able to develop a module so that you can plug an ipod into your GX and use this feature, thus allowing you to use your ipod with the steering wheel controls. I have an '06, also, and the Vaistech module will work with your vehicle.

It's just an emulation mode like the above said, for MD changers. The big upside is that it gives you 999 playlists with 999 songs per, as opposed to CD changer emulation mode which gives you 99 and 99 respectively. I just got the VAIS Tech installed in my car and they mistakenly put it in CD emulation mode. I am going back to get it fixed on Weds, but otherwise I love the unit.
