After searching the board I know I'm not alone. It is a ridiculous design that I have to get a remote out to turn on the rear dvd screen every time I start the car. It should just turn on whenever it is flipped down.
So here's my question- Has anyone ever tried having the rear dvd screen wired so that it automatically turns on whenever it's flipped down? This is how my Lincoln Navigator works and it is so much more convenient.

I'll be very interested to see the response to this.
The RSES in this truck drives me nuts with the way it operates, especially since my kids can't work it yet. So every time I shut off the truck, say to stop for gas, I have to dig out the remote to get the DVD playing again. Not to mention the location of the only IR sensor for the remote - so I have to lean into the back seat to do it.
If there's a better way, I'm all ears.
