$2 to $3 each. Might want to replace the bolts too while you are at it. The front has the hex fittings so be careful not to strip them. Any Toyota dealership usually has the plugs and definitely the crush washers on hand. 12157-10010 are washers for rear fill and drain. Also fits front fill plug. front drain is 90430-24003 big ole copper washer. Transfer case uses 90430-18008 for both drain and fill. If you can change your engine oil, you can definitely do this job. Get the little quart bottle pump at an autozone and it's back where differential oil is.

Thanks burny,i will go to the Toyota dealer tomorrow and get the crush washers. Will probably do all the fluids next week.Tomorrow,I am donig the spark plugs.

The best price I could find Mobil 1 synthetic for is $11.79 per quart at Amazon with free shipping. If you know of a better price.please let me know. How many quarts should I get for the transfer case and both differentials?

I got Mobile 1 at Advanced Auto. I ordered on line for $9.99 a quart and picked it up in the store the same day. Choose in store pickup. I ordered 7. Around 3.3 for rear. 1.7qts for transfer case and around 2 qts for front. 7 will be plenty. Here is the pump I used. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/p...=gear+oil+pump

Yes,I did see that thread. I went to the Advanced Auto website and got 15% off, thank you for the tip. If it does not rain here tomorrow,I may do the rear diff. if I have time. When I do,I will post a pic of the fluid,I bet its quite dirty looking with the mileage on it.:sad

Called Advanced Auto hoping to get the fluids today, but, they cannot get the amount I needed until Monday,so,I canceled the order and re-ordered again getting a 20% discount this time.

Picked up all my crush washers today. Priced the differential fluid that they sell. My cost is $24 per quart.Dealer cost is $14 per quart. I read these right off the techs screen. He said the Totota fluid is made by Mobil I made to their specs.

I have a silly question that I need to be sure on. I will be using Mobil 1 LS 75W90 gear oil in the front and rear differentials.........http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/..._75W-90LS.aspx

Do I need to add Limited Slip Addative? In reading some reviews of people who have used Mobil 1LS, after a while, they experienced chattering from the differentials. After adding the LS Addative, the chattering went away. I am confused on this now.

LOL,is that a round and about way of calling me lazy? Fluid has yet to be shipped to my house,or I would be doing it today along with the spark plugs. I will do the differentials and the transfer case at the same time. After that, the trans fluid.

FYI, had a hard time getting hex drain plug out of front diff. Heat, hammer..wound up stripping it and having to have Lexus drill it out and fill for me...turned out to be no big deal...they only charged me 25 bucks...ie our favorite dealership.

There are some things going on at that dealership after our fiasco with them. I told my wife they would surley have a staff meeting after our experience with them. I am waiting to hear the story. Thanks for the warning.I am amazed at the $25 charge, they must like you.

I wanted to see if I could loosen the front transfer case plugs and the front diff. plugs, but,I could not get my skid plate off! Two of the bolt heads are rounded off.The rear skid plate has brand new bolts in and they are super, super tight.I am going to bring the truck to my mechanic and have him take both skid plates off and loosen the diff. and transfer case bolts while its on the lift.It will save my the trouble if I run into the same situation as you did.
