Necro
So I thought I'd go necro-threading. If it's your own thread, it's cool.
I noticed on the way home today that one of the headlights I bought back in 2010 had finally croaked. Took me a minute to realize that I'd had them for over 5 years! Anyway, I came home and remembered Steve from xenon Depot. I was content with a 5 year lifespan, and was prepared to buy another set of the H11s (there's a sale right now, by the way). Before I purchased the new set, I thought I'd be diligent and troubleshoot the old just for kicks.
Took me about 3 minutes to pop the fuse, see that both were good, reseat them, and fire the lights back up. Turns out the fuse just needed to be pulled and reinserted. Lights now working great.
So, in conclusion, 5 and a half years and 130,000 miles after my initial review (and in that time, I've gone from a bachelor renting a home to a married man with 2 kids and two owned properties) I'm still pleased with my purchase, and would gladly make it again (and almost did).
Thanks again Steve.

Wow!!! that's awesome!!. I still need these.... dang 5 years sure flew by........... Is this the kit? http://www.xenondepot.com/H11-HID-Ki...D-p/xt-h11.htm
I may go with the Phillips bulbs also. Now I didn't see the answer to the question regarding the Auto lights and whether it really messes with the life of the bulb or not. Thx for the follow-up Oh and how do we get the Club Lexus discount?

@cdew002 - Wow, It's been 5 years already! Thank you so much for trusting us with your vehicle's lighting - and I'm glad to hear that they haven't let you down!! Sounds like you've got some additional precious cargo to drive around now (congratulations).
@SmittysGX - That's the kit Auto lights will not have any effect on the ballasts and/or bulbs. It would really only become an issue if you sit there and start flashing your lights on/off; although they would probably lock up after a while, and you would need to unplug the ballasts to reset them. Your best bet would be to take advantage of our current boxing week offer, which gets you 10% off orders under $200 and free 2nd day air shipping.

Hi guys. I have a question regarding ordering. I'm hoping to order the kit for my GX. But I do not understand one of the options. In ordering, there is an option for "Vehicle Options" and it has "With CANbus", "Without CANbus" and a third option. What does those mean? I will be ordering this one: http://www.xenondepot.com/H11-HID-Ki...D-p/xt-h11.htm
but I don't understand that order part. I also won't be the one installing the kit, seems how I know nothing about that kind of stuff. I'm going to see about the dealership putting it in, unless anyone knows of a place in Utah that they can recommend for having that kit installed?
Thanks so much for the help.
