Default iPhone 4 and '07 GX470 - does it work?

I've always been a Blackberry user but I'm considering taking the leap to the iPhone 4 once Verizon announces it this week. I'm hearing information that the previous version of the iPhone will sync via Bluetooth, but won't transfer phone book contacts over to the Nav system.

Does anyone know if this is possible with the iPhone 4, though?

I tried in my 05 and no dice. I asked the dealer and the iPhone will not sync contacts. the bluetooth does work and sounds great. No biggie for me really. I just use the voice activation on the phone for numbers I don't normally call. The other three I entered into the system manually. Dealer suggested find a friend with a Crackberry, send your contact list to them, then have them sync contacts for you. They did point out that the Crackberry does not have to have service. Goofy.

I guess you make a good point - I can just leave my contacts in place on the nav system from my current Blackberry, then once I move to the iPhone sync it up but keep the old contacts.
