I have a strange problem. Battery on my '03 GX 470 was replaced recently and I was able to reprogram the automatic doors and the moon roof except the Rear left window. I was able to take it down half way and it is now stuck half way, doesn't move up or down.
Did anyone come across this issue before? I have checked the FUSE and it looks good. Green light on the window switch on the door is flashing.
Dealership might charge a lot even if it is a programming error.
Please help
thanks

I tried reset option for all other windows. to reset you need to bring the windows half way and pull it up and hold for 2 secs. But what to do if a window which is stuck half way, does not move up or down?

As you mentioned there is the Green Light Flashing, but this is only to the switch Assy, maybe once you open the panel, you are able to check whether there is power continuity to the Actuator itself. It is easy to open once you remove the Garnish/Trims and the screw which are attached within, and the claws which are inside the Door Handle Bezels.
Sometime the Window Power Regulator does freeze( lock mechanism). Also there is Glass Regulator Assy which is controlled from the Power window Switch. It could be either ones also.

Before you go and do that, why don't you give disconnecting the battery a shot. Leave it for a minute, than reconnect. Maybe the window switch was made by Microsoft and you had a fatal error and must reboot? ![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Easy thing to give a shot is all I'm thinking...

Markoz....once you open the window, and you will see a star shaped bolt, holding the regulator, you need to used 10mm crescent wrench to loosen it and open the regulator unit and clean the solenoids with warm salt water and dry it, use graphite grease to grease vantage points of the moving mechanism( it is a tough nut to open as it is a sealed unit) You need a figure a way to open these unit carefully and re-assemble). And test with a 12 volt battery the continuity, you should hear a click noise ( two clicks) means they are functional, now check the door switch and refit back the whole unit. Mind it this job would roughly take around 3 hours just to remove the panel, and careful with the torx screws around the motor assy.
Important Note:- Don't force anything, if there is a resistance or if the window is not on the right rack track, these are sensitive material, you might end up breaking up the window

mann777, thanks for the update. I really appreciate the information you provided. I decided to take take the car to Lexus dealer ship. they said the window switch was bad and have to be replaced. I have 7 years 100k miles extended warranty with 0 deductible. But guess what, the reason why I took the car to the dealership was not only the window, the vsc trac and abs lights were on and later they figured out that rodents chewed up all wires underneath the fuse box inside the hood. I am waiting for a call back from dealership, it is $125 / hour for electrical work and not covered under warranty
. est cost is $700 for labor. Window switch is covered under warranty.

Another example of why extended warranties are a waste of money...
By the way, I just had a similar problem after a battery issue on one window. I checked the fuses and they seemed all right. Took it to the dealer, and somehow they said the fuse was bad and charged me 60$ to diagnose and replace. Who knows...?
