Probably your Gas Cap is loose.

it should clear after a cycle or two, if it was your gas cap.

You can go to any national auto parts chain (Advance, AutoZone, O'Reilly) and have them read and reset the code for free or if you know someone w/ an OBDII scan tool. Obviously make note of the code # (s) they give you (Pxxxx). It'll likely be a P030x series for cylinder misfire(s). If it stays off, good. If not, search for code here and more information.

Post it up if you cannot find info or have questions as many codes do not necessarily identify the underlying issue... instead they lead to a series of other queries for correct diagnosis of real problem. There are enough experts on here to help guide you to a fix if needed w/o needlessly throwing good $ at unneeded parts until you find correct one.

Good luck

Buy a cheap OBDII scanner, theyre only like $20. Somehow I lost my scanguage so I bought this one:
Amazon Amazon

I cleaned my MAF sensor the other day and let it dry for hours. When I started it up the traction / check engine light etc came on:

I cleared the code (P0113) and it never came back.....

there are multiple causes for this but I had the exact same lights on mine when a rat ate the wires to the oxygen sensor. It was an expensive repair because the intake manifold had to be removed, but comprehensive part of auto insurance covered the repair.

That's why you get the codes first.

Default Need Help!!!

After I did the DIY Spark Plug change, my check engine, check VSC lights came on. The idle on the car is very rough now and it almost wants to shut off. When you try to drive the care it has no power, you can see the RPMs go up, but the car does not shift gears until you let go of the gas. Once it does that, it starts the cycle again. Absolutely no power.

Please Help!!

^^^ my only thought is your spark plug is misfiring. Are they pregap? Check your installation again. Check if the plugs boots are push all the way.

Thanks for the advice. I went a head and removed everything, cleaned up and retried it. This seems to have corrected the issue. Not sure exactly what was wrong, but I used carb cleaner and electronics contact cleaner and everything resolved itself.
