Need help with Factory Alarm
I have an 07 GX470. As came from the dealer, it had factory alarm which beeped once when I pressed "lock" and twice when pressed "unlock." The alarm worked fine for the past 5 years. All the sudden it stopped. Now doesn't matter what button I press on the key, or how frequently or how long I keep pressing, it would never beep. I could press the "lock" and "unlock" button on the key and the door-lock would still unlock or lock but the alarm wouldn't beep. The "panic" button works fine and the car honk. And I never adjusted any setting.
What I tried was disconnecting the battery and hope for luck but it still didn't help any. I even locked the car with the driver window pulled down then manually unlock by hand from the outside after 5 minutes idle (key placed out of range of remote) and there was no honking (which means no alarm.)
I have tried every way I would know of but it wouldn't help. I have a feeling that I just accidentally turn off the alarm b/c this is not a common break-down.
Please help! Any input is appreciated! Thanks!

LOL! i had the same problem in my '06 GX and i'm guessing that one of your locks is messed up. the vehicle will not beep if 1 door lock is not fully engaged. jump in the car and make sure all 4 doors are unlocked then press the lock button look at each of them and the one that does not lock is the one at fault.
your dealership will fix it for you but it'll run @$500......or you can order the lock assembly from sewell for under $200 and fix it yourself(that's what i did)

^ Thanks for the suggest but it didn't fix. I checked again today and all the doors work fine and alarm still wouldn't beep.
I've been having this problem for the past few months. All the doors lock properly with no issue at all.
