Default Tires-Continental CrossContact LX20

Any thoughts on this tire for the GX? The reviews and specs on Tire Rack look really good. My GX is a 2004 with 80K. I live in FL so driving in rain and hydroplaning is much more important than winter driving. I only drive around 9-10K a year and saving $50 per tire over the Michelins is attractive. Here is a link to the tire.

I have these and they are GREAT! Much quieter(!) and better on wet roads than the OEM tires.

Thanks pepe88. The reviews I found were mixed, but there were not a lot of them. Some of the owners reported what sounded like balancing problems, which can be an issue on the GX anyway.

Since you used ALL CAPS to say they were great, I assume they are running smooth at all speeds.

You know what happens when one says "I assume"...

I would be concerned that with only 380K miles reported on tirerack there are reviews with the same issue.

Tires look good, but there are too few reviews, at least for my taste.

Regardless of which tires you buy for your GX, make sure you have them ROADFORCE balanced.

I noticed the lack of reported miles on the Tire Rack website, which is obviously a concern. On paper the tires look great, but some of the reviews I found online suggest caution, especially buying them online. I've still got a little time before I need to buy so hopefully I'll find more reviews.

Quoted for Truth! I just recently replaced my tires at Disc. Tire. When I bought my GX, it had BF Goodrich Rugged Trails and loved them. The new ones rode like crap...I swapped for Long Trails, but still the same balancing issue...DT will gladly try to balance but without roadforce, you're wasting your time...
