Experiences with longer crossbars?

Hey guys. Question for the class. Has anyone added longer crossbars to an existing 470 roof rack? Our new paddleboard carrier is great but it takes up a ton of space, so much so that I can either take that or the cargo box but not both together. I know that Yakima makes a bunch of different kinds of “feet” that can accommodate a 60” or 72” loadbar. Just curious to see if anyone has done this before.

looked into it, but for my needs I went a different route. what you want is the clamp on crossbars that work with the factory sidebars. like this:

the other thing you should do is remove the factory cross bars. I think it looks so awful when people leave them on and have four cross bars.
