110v Outlet in the cargo area - Tailgating?
Anyone tried using the 110v outlet to run a tv or antenna? Gave it a shot this afternoon and had to use a two prong:three prong converter and plugged the tv into a power strip and the tv flickered for a little bit and then shut off.
Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions or could tell me how they're using it

Charging a (small) laptop or tablet. Running a cooler. Charging a phone...
Nothing big, in other words.

The other possibility is that the inverter on the circuit produces a modified sine-wave and not a true sine-wave. Some electronics don't like that.

My kids recently told me that 120v AC on the back of 2015 gx 460 doesn't work reliably for charging his macbook pro (2013 model, AC adator is 85W). I just took a closer look of apple power adaptor, it says input of 1.5A with 100 to 240v, so 100W is a little short for 1.5A at 120v. I had used other laptop adaptors before occasionally, and those are 2.5A adaptors, and I never noticed any issue before.
I was curious about this, so I measured with my multimeter, and I see volt/hz readings are all over the place at times (from 117v to 144v, 59hz to 304hz). My multimeter is not top quality true sine wave Fluke type, but for home ac outlets, I always get 120v/60hz/50%. So far I couldn't figure out a pattern why it would only work some times for mac. I have 2 months left on my CPO warranty, it is probably about time to go back dealership? Thank you.
BTW, I reposted on 2nd gen forum, I just realized this is for 1st gen GX.

You might need a load on it to measure voltage & frequency reliably. Try rigging up a 25W light bulb.
