I am looking for suggestions folks. Lexus Toyota advised me to replace Front wheel axle bearing (driver side) for GX470 2008. I am at 85k miles. Questions-

1. Shall I replace the bearing assembly or just the bearing?
2. Since I am doing driver side replacement, can I go ahead do the right side as well
3. Would Lexus Toyota or AAA service center be cost effective or someone smaller but a good mechanic? Toyota is asking for $550 each side.
4. I am thinking of replacing other items too alongside since the car is approaching 90K major service i.e. water pump, belt, spark plugs, struts, mounting brackets, overhead gasket and oil seals to prevent future leaks

I found another similar way to remove a tight/rusted hub easily. Get the 4 bolts that hold the assembly to the truck broken loose. Put a piece of steel around 1/4" thick between the bolt and the hub and loosen the bolt a few turns, then work your way around the hub doing this. Repeat a few times until the bearing/hub assembly pops loose. No pounding, no problem.
