Well my Baja rack showed up yesterday.... And today Chris Hefty (Hefty Fabworks) showed up to take the truck back to Colorado with him for bumpers, sliders and skids. We are expecting the front winch bumper to tip the scales at a whopping 55lbs(ish)....
But, the rack is on and I won't see it again until I'm in Colorado in July.

Those are Hefty Fab. Aluminum option for the GX.
So now you can choose (in order of appearance):
1) ARB/Iron Man (front bumpers, requires cutting sheet metal)
2) SSO Bumpers (front and rear GX bumpers, bolt on)
2) MetalTech 4x4 (front and rear GX bumpers, bolt on)
3) Hefty Fab Aluminum (front and rear GX bumpers, requires cutting plastic)
I run the Iron Man since I built mine in 2010 before there were options!

Thanks man.
Originally I decided to order a bumper from a friend of mine at ARB, but I could not wrap my head around such a massive eye sore on the front of our GX. Since the GX is just a winter vehicle I wanted to keep it classy looking. I got a hold of Chris at Hefty Fabworks and he agreed to jump into the GX market head first... He flew out to OH and drove the truck back to CO and started building. The entire build was geared toward light weight, strong and as clean looking as possible. I have to be honest, I could not be happier with their work and I'm lucky I had the option on the table. They guys (like Dan) who had to make something work because the aftermarket support was not there are the ones that paved the way.
Worth mention...
I ordered my rear bumper without the tire carrier because I wanted to the backup camera and I use our GX for pulling our camper. However, the rear bumper HF makes will be avail with the tire carrier option.

It's my build thread it just got hijacked a little by Dan. The bumpers in my build (the pictures I posted) are the the Hefty Bumpers they run a little more than double what the OEM bumper, crash bar and frame mounts weigh (45lbs).

We met some folks from Rugged Pix at Summit X. These folks were hard core, running up trails at 10k+ feet crossing creeks on logs to get the shot. Here are a couple shots of us they took.

So..... I decided to do some maintenance on the GX and at the same time do some upgrades.
I had a wheel bearing with a TINY amount of movement on the pass side, I noticed it when I had it on the lift rotating tires. Then I noticed my upper control arm bushing was torn. So I did what any reasonable person would do...
I ordered new bushings for the tube upper arms, E-coated rotors, Wagner calipers, energy lower bushings, timken wheel bearings, moog greaseable cam bolts and inner/ outer tie rods. I figured if I'm doing bearings, I might as well do everything. I topped it off with some RAD fender liners.
