Vsc, skid and check engine lights came on in 07 Gx470. I took it to Advance Auto and had codes pulled. It's showing:
C1201 engine control system malfunction
C1223 ABS malfunction
C1253 hydro booster malfunction
P0441

I just replaced battery 5 months ago, I know it needs a brake job soon. It's a little slow braking but I'm assuming it's because my brake pads and rotors are low. Any ideas what could cause all these malfunctions? I can do minor work with the help of a good YouTube video and can figure out where most sensors are. Is this something that a novice car person can fix like me? Trying to keep from paying a fortune at the dealer. I have read that the gas cap might need to be replaced but surely that wouldn't solve all of the code malfunctions....right?
Any advice would help and thanks in advance.

Tighten your gas cap, don't ask questions, just try it.

If that doesn't do it -- replace the gas cap (about $30, most dealers have them in stock). They do go bad over time.

Parked my car up hill and came back to see I have Christmas Lights on the Cluster Once Again... after 1year 8 months.... That's the last time i saw those before and knew whats was wrong. So replaced OEM Gas Cap 77300-33070 from Local Toyota Dealer for $21 plus tax.
Not sure if its the cheap quality gas caps or some defect with gas inlet. But this new one seemed to hang on to it and i need to apply a little pressure to remove it. Lights went off after 40 miles commute and a stop.
