Brakes suddenly stopped working
My 2006 GX470 brakes suddenly went completely out and all the lights came on (Brake, ABS, VSC TRAC, VSC OFF, and some car with squiggly lines symbol light) and a buzzer was sounding, when up to that moment the brakes were working perfectly. Is this a common problem? And what is the likely solution as well as cost? Should I have a Lexus dealer do the fix or any mechanic?

It's either a massive leak from a busted brake line or you electronic master cylinder died. Lexus will be expensive, try to find an import specialist mechanic. Ask around most areas have a Toyota tech that opened his own shop.

Agree. Most likely the brake booster pump. About a $1800 repair.
Seldom happens, but when it does, it isn't cheap.
