Default Backup Camera Connection

I have searched a few times and haven't found an answer. My backup camera shows a blackish brownish tinted when o backup. I really think the internal iris is messed up.

With that being said, the replacement camera is almost $600. I would like to order a generic replacement. Does anyone know what the closest connection is to the backup camera?

Thanks!

Default Backup camera installation

2006 GX470. Backup camera went out. They
wanted 175$ on Ebay for a used one. O'Reilly auto had universal camera for 19.99$. Simple rewiring and done deal!

I had thought that aftermarket cameras used 12V while the oem was 6V. I could be wrong but I upgraded my stereo with a tesla style px6 unit and I had to swap to aftermarket camera.

I replaced my old camera with this one and a little epoxy. Works better than the OEM.

Looks like the one I used on my GX470. I made a mounting plate to mount the camera onto and then mounted to the existing camera mount.

The thing I did not like about the aftermarket one was the wire gauge was tiny. It was hard to even crimp a connector to.

I found another version of the RCA/trigger wire that was heavier gauge and had no issue.

Works nice. Camera is very crisp and clear.

Question regarding the 360, where are the cameras installed to get such a view? Besides the front in the grill and the rear camera, the others are a bit elusive for me.
