That sucks!
I wonder if they have a warranty on new dashes?
I would contact people who installed it and see what they say. Not sure how successful you will be contacting Lexus in Japan. I think if you push your local dealer to order a new one you will have a better success. Or just throw a dash cover on it and forget it.

Jeez, that’s disappointing! If it were me, I’d start with the dealer. Maybe you ended up with an old-stock dash. Just curious, did you keep it garaged or outside since you had the dash replaced?

Dash Crack
Have a 2007 GX470 with 125k. Last month the dash cracked. I know this was a recall decal years ago but it never cracked until now. Just went out and it was all the ways across the whole thing. Lexus said that if people continue to complain they will re-issue the recall. So keep complaining. I was not happy that they didn’t do anything for me. As my car has had every single service since new through the dealership

Got the same issue. Please let me know who to complain to.
Thanks

I have both the GX and RX needing a new dashboard badly. Thanks for the link. Let’s hope Lexus can make some good will knowing this was a problem from the very beginning.

Just email as well
I have a 2004 and a 2006 GX470 with dash issues. My wife and I emailed Lexus to hopefully get some traction in this.

The original verbiage we have in the extended warranty sticker letter that Lexus sent us, Warranty ZLD, says that you only get one free repair under this special warranty enhancement ZLD , setup for repairing the cracked/melted dashboards. So it looks like if the dashboards crack again, you are out of luck.

I think that you may have the best chance face to face with the dealer. My in-laws have a 2010 ES that wasn't even covered in the recall. Lexus just replaced the dash 3 weeks ago.

I wish everyone would just schedule every Saturdays using social media to meet at our local dealerships across the country, Toyota one weekend and Lexus the next till they recall/repair them all. Its just a fact since Toyota got involved with GM after NUMMI the quality has went to cra& on every vehicle they've made since and they no longer even care. These dashes crack so bad because they made them too thin and they know it, even the wood inlays are much thinner on vehicles 2006 up and cracked up badly too.
Face to face all the way, its far too easy to get the circle jerk on a phone and the more faces we bring the better off we'd be.
Another choice- Don't shave your face for a few days so you have long scruffy whiskers, blacken one eye with make up, dye your hair lime green/yellow and red/purple stripes, put a holey muscle man tee on, don't ever crack a smile so they know you're clearly crazy enough to mean business as your highly pizzed over this entire issue.
This technique generally works very well in "most" cases.
Well' I say most cases because if the person you must deal with is Japanese it usually works well, if so he/she won't be intimidated by any of your madness with all their pride/strength/wits. Just a fact as history proves surrendering just don't ever come easily for their people as their entire nation nearly fought to their deaths in WWII so' they fear nobody standing before them even those strapped with weapons galore it matters not. Story is Bigfoot steps aside for the Japanese in the woods so hopefully its just one of our own blue eyed blond haired American pretty boys or a curly headed geeky dude & you'll be in/out in 3 minutes flat with keys to a new rental right off their showroom floor and your cars delivery time scheduled within the week as he's praying you never ever return again. Hey it is what it is here so we just got'a do whats we got'a do's folks, Oh and ladies' have your husbands do the same with their whiskers/hair too..lmao
