Default Spring compressor or not!

Hey fellow gx470 owners,
I have s 2006 Lexus GX470 with over 132,000 and I know it's a matter of time before the air system craps out on me. I've purchased all parts needed for the spring conversion so I'm ready. I know some of you guys on the forum have already done it, but it was never made clear that a spring compressor is needed or not. I'll do the conversion myself if a spring compressor is not needed. Otherwise I'll have to take it to a mechanic due to safety concerns.
So the question is: Do I need a spring compressor to get it done or not?
P.S. No lift. Stock height. Thanks in advance for your valuable input, guys.

See post #8. You might struggle a little bit but a spring compressor shouldn't be needed. Also the amount that it would need to be compressed would be minimal if you can't get it. If you really can't get it in go rent a spring compressor at your local autoparts store. Compressing a spring only a tiny bit is not dangerous at all as long as you do it correctly. Make sure that the everything is seated very well before you compress at all
