Default Tachometer RPM not working- '04 GX

Hi,
My battery needed to be replaced, after replacement, I reset the windows, but noted that my tachometer no longer worked.
(2004 GX 470)
It just stays down in the "0" position.
When I first start up the car, I can see the needle trying to jump up, and then it just settles and stays at 0.
The other gauges all seem to be working correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I really need to be able to see my RPMs when I'm towing my travel trailer.
Thanks

Did anyone solve the dead RPM gauge problem?
I have the exact same issue. My RPM gauge flickers when I start the car, and then stays at zero. It randomly works well, but it’s dead about 85% of the time. If anyone knows the answer to this, please post!!

I’d make sure the crank position sensor is reading correctly using a scanner.

Or just take it out, clean it, and put it back. If possible... look through the hole while it’s removed and make sure the pick up wheel is not broken or loose.

Although id expect to see a check engine light if Andy of the modules lost the signal. So it may be you digital to analog converter. Do you have, or have access to, a scan tool that can do a gauge sweep???

but here is the crank sensor info... in case you want to check....

Hey man. Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I have the same problem and it is very annoying.

Assuming it's not an outside variable, gauge movement and lighting failure is extremely common in these.

Hi. Also experiencing this exact problem... Curious if anyone resolved this and know what the issue was? If its internal I'd send it to Tanin for repair but would like to know what other potential issues I should try to eliminate before pulling the gauge cluster out of the dash and sending it off for a couple of weeks. Thanks!!

Hook up a code reader and see if it reports the current crankshaft data.

Make sure your connector is secure.
