Letter from Lexus Re: Paint Peeling on Vehicles with Blizzard Pearl Paint
#17
They will look at service history, yes. But they will also look at who registered at drivers.lexus.com and the state DMV.
To ensure you don't miss out on this [0], stop by your dealer and make sure they have your contact info.

Yep, like chip said. It's a good idea to get it registered on the drivers.lexus.com Site..... I even go a step further, with any and all of my vehicles. I call the manufacturer's toll free number, and register the vin. That way if there's a recall or anything in the future, I can rest assured the news will get to me. I am sure, some of you do the exact same thing.
Good Practice IMHO.

Has anyone else with a vehicle painted Blizzard Pearl receive a letter from Lexus about their intentions to repair the peeling paint problem?
This is great news! My 2008 GX 470 has been peeling like crazy for the last 2 years. Was just thinking about having it repainted.

If I’m reading the letter right, there’s no mention of any year range, correct?
I just called the phone number listed and I was told my VIN was not affected by this campaign. I’ve asked to escalate it and will hear back soon. I think it might be time to let Lexus know this issue doesn’t stop at 2008.

I was told through a fb group Toyota is addressing 2009-2015😡 as well as certain vin numbers. It appears as if the Toyota’s with paint peeling issues are being handled first😡Neither of the solutions helps me. I have a 2007 GX 470 tht has also been peeling for a couple of years. I spoke to the local Lexus customer service manager over a year ago & was told they was unaware of any paint peeling issues with the GX or blizzard/Pearl white paint jobs.

If you aren’t a member of the fb group, you should definitely join.. Toyota/Lexus/Scion blizzard paint peels (they won’t fix it) the owner of the groups & its members has helped quite a few people, you can get the necessary information needed to be reimbursed
