We have until December to decide whether we want to purchase the extended warranty or not? Any suggestions, pros, cons......I mean I did go with the most reliable car on the road? I am leaning towards getting it but thought I'd ask for some insight....

I bought the extended warranty, it covers me to 5 years 60k bumper to bumper, it's like insurance you got it but you may never need it but in the situation that something happens you have it.

Basically I got it because these cars have so much technology in them and computers and electronics are not cheap, if 4 years from now your Nav screen does not turn on the extended warranty more than paid for itself.

You have a Lexus which has 6 year 70k powertrain and 4 year 50k bumper to bumper, how much longer you keepin it, aslo what are they chargin you and for what plan

Well, I plan on keeping it for as long as it will go...unless I fall in love with a newer model GX470. Of course I went in planning on buying the RX330 because I loved the body style of the 300 but did not like the cockpit one bit....what were they thinking? It confused me....

You're absolutely right about the technology aspect of it. I printed out all the warranty info on the web today and will have to look it over. I think my husband said it was about $1700...not sure if that is the gold or platinum...have to read all the info over....Do I have longer than December to purchase it? I think I read something that it can be purchased up to 36,000 miles or something but may have misread? The dealer told my husband December???? Thanks for any help! C
