Hello,
Unfortunately my 3rd central brake stop light is damaged (standard Lexus 2007 GX470 3rd stop light, no spoiler) It is making short circuit due to moisture inside. I found replacement lamp, it just arrived, however could you please post me any guide to replace with the old one? I guess I need to replace it somehow from inside trims.
I was trying to search over websites and forum, however all I found are guides to remove taillights. Appreciate help![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thank you,
Cheers, MacieX

I've never seen a DIY on replacing the 3rd brake light, sorry.
I just went out and looked at mine, no spoiler on it either. No screws on the outside, so I assume you'd have to remove the plastic trim on the inside of the rear hatch, there should be screws and a harness clip accessible from inside.

Thanks @IanB2 for reply, maybe next week I will have time to check this. Until this time, maybe someone will provide another input. Cheers
I'm not sure if you need to remove the lower trim panel first, but if you do there are screws holding it on that you'll need to pop the covers off to access, not difficult though. The handle would also need to come off, if you pull up on the handle, you can remove the 2 plastic clips from underneath, and the handle pulls right out. You'd also remove the tools from the rear door and set them aside.

You should only need to pull the top interior trim piece off. It's the first piece when removing the cargo door trim, so .. yayy.
IIRC you have to pull somewhat downwards.
