Front Suspension Parts
I'm looking to replace the front lower control arm and ball joint assembly but when I search for OEM parts, there's one listed with kinetic suspension and another one without kinetic suspension. I don't know if my 2007 GX470 is equipped with kinetic suspension or not. Has anyone come across this? Any suggestions on how to figure this out. The OEM parts by the way are quite expensive, so would this be something that can be replaced with an aftermarket part?
I would appreciate any response or suggestions.

When you turn the key on the dash to the on position, I THINK it should light up "KDSS" on the cluster if your truck is equipped. The other way to tell is get under the truck and have a look at the swaybar endlinks, KDSS looks very different to regular endlinks. You could also post a pic here and someone could help identify if your truck has KDSS or not.
As for lower control arms and balljoints, this is something I would absolutely recommend going with OEM for unless you're planning on getting rid of the truck right away. Aftermarket LCA bushings don't seem to last at all, I know OEM isn't cheap but it's absolutely the best for LCA's. New LCA's come with all bushings and ball joints installed, FYI.

KDSS has a hydraulic cylinder at the end of the swaybar that has a rubber boot on it. Very easy to spot.
Doing a front suspension refresh is on my todo list. I get a loud squeak when going over speed bumps, which I believe is the swaybar bushings. Still on the original ball joints at 180k, so time to do them too. And struts, of course.

I'm going to stick with OEM because I like being able to switch the valving from comfort for in-town driving to sport for interstates.
