Question GX 470 Replacement/upgrade Key Remotes

Hi guys. Anyone here have advice or experience with replacing their 3 button factory key remote with a folding type design? I want to transfer my key blade and internal 3 button assembly to a flip design shell similar to this one. I don't know if this one is a shell or the whole enchilada that would need programming w/blank blade. Thanks

I have no experience with that shell, but the description says this (highlighting by me):

This flip key remote is complete key with uncut key+new remote circuit board+new chip+new Battery. It is ready to be programmed. 3.Programming:You need to get the new key cut and programmed by dealer or locksmith by programmer. You can not get the new key programmed manually
So it looks like it has it's own keyless-entry circuit card and anti-theft chip, which would both need to be coded to the vehicle. And get the blade cut.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't read the whole page. I found what was I looking for. A few reviews repeat poor build quality and folding mechanism for key is not very reliable -

Did you end up getting this and have it function? Would love to get one of these.

No I didn't. My key blades and remote fob transmitters are still functional. I just wanted swap the blade and transmiiter assembly into the switchblade/folding style remote. But my '04 GX470 factory key blade won't fit it. The base of the blade looks similar to a t-square. It gives the key and plastic fob some rigidity when turning clockwise/counter clockwise in the ignition. No folding style fob for my style key blade. These two use your original key blade and transmitter assembly and are more durable: The YotaMD Titaniumand
