Default Detailed guide on how to remove interior panels/trim

Hello all. I’m familiar with 60s-90s GM, 60s-00s Ford and now lots of 2011+ MOPAR but I have ZERO experience with Toyota’s interiors. My 2008 GX’s interior trim and panels feel VERY fragile and VERY brittle. I feel like I’m going to snap these things in half trying to pry off. Is there a guide on where each clip and pry point are for the console, dash, interior panels and door panels?

I got lucky when I took out the glovebox to remove the CD changer but that is when I knew this was going to be a nightmare for the console and dash trim (for my new radio install). I also suffered broken clip tabs on two of the rear hatch door’s trim pieces...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

When the plastics get this old, you just accept that you're going to be breaking clips and tabs. Or in my case, handles.
Try looking on youtube for GX radio installs - they'll have the removal order.

Thanks Chip. Seems this might be my reality! Haha. I guess I’ll take a dive and hope I don’t break something hard to find.

I used this pdf when I pulled the rear cargo side panel to refoam my sub and it helped a lot: GX470 DIY Sub Removal
