2007 Lexus GX470 - Keyfob 'Lock' button does not work after recharging the car batter
I have a 2007 Lexus GX470 - my car battery got discharged. After recharging the battery (by jump-starting and driving around), the 'Lock' button on both the Keyfobs/remotes does not work. However, the 'Unlock' button works. I changed the battery on the keyfob, but it still does not work. Any suggestions on what to look for / do?

If you llose power and have to jump start your car you may have to reset your all windows and your radio memory buttons as well, Also sun roof.
Did you check to see if you can lower any of the windows from the drivers side. If not then you need to reset them. Go to each window with key in ignition on and raise and lower each window twice. Do all three windows then recycle your sunroof with the sunroof switch to open then close. You will also have to reset your seat memory's. When ever you take a battery cable off or in your case battery discharged you will have to go through this reset
check your owners manual I think its explained there.

Usually a discharged battery doesn’t affect saved functions. Requires a disconnect of the battery. So to answer the original question, no idea.

original poster said battery was totally discharged . I thought if it’s totally dead that could be same as disconcerted

It's possible the remote receiver module didn't get reset properly. Try disconnecting the battery negative terminal, waiting 30-40 seconds, then reconnecting. Do this quickly so you don't have any/many sparks.
Afterwards, you will have to reset windows & sunroof auto-open, memory seats, radio presets, etc.

Dear all, Thanks for all the clues and insights regarding this problem. It seems that the 4-year old Car Battery was the cause of this issue. I replaced the Car Battery and reprogrammed all the windows. The door locking problem (with the remote FOB) also went away after that.
Before I replaced the battery, I had not totally disconnected both the battery terminals before charging it. Not sure if that may have caused the 'locking' problem with the Keyfob (as suggested by Chiph9). Thanks for everyone's support in this forum. Really appreciate it! Enjoy the July 4th weekend.
