I want to make triple sure I am putting the right hitch receiver on my vehicle. I’ve read the threads on here but would love confirmation that what I’m ordering is correct and that the resulting connection will meet the 6,5000 towing capacity of the vehicle.
I have read all the discussion about the full tow bar vs the Pintle attachment that (I think) bolts into this spot. I prefer the Pintle as long as it doesn’t reduce my 6,500 lb tow capacity. I’ll be towing a 3,100 lb (dry) trailer using a weight distribution hitch. Is the part called “Tube, Pintle Hook support” 5190935011 (And 6x 9011912361 bolts) the only parts I need? That will serve as the receiver (and safety chain clips) that I insert my WDH into?
I don't know what that is. It doesn't have the 2" opening for the tow bar. Maybe there's a missing part?
If you want the full 6500 pounds get the frame-mounted Class IV hitch:
P/N PT22860540 https://parts.lexus.com/p/Lexus__/To...T22860540.html
This will come with the bracket for your 7-pin light connector. Note that you will still need a relay & fuse up front to enable it.
For only 3100 pounds you don't need a WDH as long as you still have the air springs. The system will auto-level so you aren't sagging.
