Default 1st 2nd 3rd Gen GX's

Do you consider changing the engine from non VVTI to heads that have VVTI a new Gen?

Not worth it, IMO. You'd also have to change the ECU and wiring. For ~20 HP and 1-2mpg gain?

And it then requires premium gas too. Not worth it. You could probably supercharge it for the same amount of effort and gain ~75HP

There are superchargers for the pre-vvti engines, much stronger bang for the buck than adding vvti to the engine.

Sorry, my Q was not clear.

I mean, GX is 1st and 2nd gen only. But the 1st gen had a engine change from non-VVTI to VVTI, and for me, doing that is a new gen. To me we have 3 gens of GX in the US.

SC kit for the 1st gen VVTI. If I get to rebuild my 2006, it will get this SC kit.

I see them more as gen 1, gen 1.5, and gen 2

What would I like to see in a gen 3 GX? The twin turbo V6 from the LS500 sounds like fun. 416 hp, 442 ft-lbs.

Why not just a simple Rotrex S/C ? The GX just needs more torque in the lower rpm area. But, fitting an existing power plant is easier than re-engineering it. I would prefer the S/C though.
