I'm going to be adding an LED strip under the running board and I was wondering where in the fuse box (external --the one in the engine bay) is the best slot to get 12v 5A? I've already begun cutting up the wiring ready to extend it from under the running board, through the fender wells, through the firewall and next to the interior fuse box.

If y'all have any suggestions how I can do this better, please let me know as well. (No, I will not be driving around with rainbow colors alternating under my GX. )

Those light strips are for indoor use, aren't they? I am not sure how those will hold up in a good Texas flood.

They're for outdoors, though I expect them to be caked in dirt and mud. (Off topic: I just got back from my drive to Las Vegas and went through the blizzard between NM and AZ. Had I installed these before the trip, I would still be cleaning. Lol.)

If I called these "rock lights" instead, would they then be appropriate for a GX 460 in your opinion?
