I did it. Gyeon Mohs on the vehicle and Gyeon Rim on the wheels. We paid a ton to have my wife's X5 done, and I didn't want to spend that much on mine. A few hundred dollars and a couple of days work, and it is at least the equal of the job we paid $2K+ for on hers.

Good info, might do mine. How much paint correction/prep did you do? Applaud you for doing the inside of the wheels. Never touch mine on the GX but keep them clean on my Audi S4.

Thanks!

I did it right after I bought it (though after a 2000 mile drive from FL to CO), so not a lot. Washed, clay bar, iron remover, went over it with Gyeon Prep, then coated it with two coats the next day. Wheels were done the day after that. I pretty much followed Pan the Organizer's procedure.

I debated for quite awhile about spending even more $$ to switch the wheels to the ones that come on the Luxury package which are a combination chrome look and gray. I finally decided that it was worth it to not feel regret every time I looked at my car. The pics aren't the greatest, but you get an idea of how much it spiced it up, and they still tie in to the graphite accents on the Sport Design package.

Hey, is that at LHM? If so, then I bought the same vehicle (2023 Atomic Silver with the black wheels) at the same place. We are probably neighbors. Let me know if you ever want to race or do a group mod session on our twins.

Sweet. That’s where I got mine too. They were actually really cool, which surprised me. Haha. I was teasing about racing and mod sessions. It’s cool to know another local that has the same one! I’m in Lehi. I guess we can share info if either of us ever has a service or recall issue come up or something like that. These weren’t exactly built for racing, and if I ever do mod mine it will be long after the factory warranty expires and I might throw on some larger off-road ready tires if this is ever relegated to fun weekend use, For now it’s the everyday cruise around town “mall crawler” and I love it! I’ve always had 4Runners, FJ’s and Tacomas. This thing is like the much much classier older sibling of those trucks.

You're right, it will be good to have someone to share info with or ask questions of. We are in Twin Falls, ID and Lindon was the closest dealer that had all the colors and interiors I wanted to look at. I was only going to look and test drive and think about it, but once I saw it, I couldn't pass it up. Funny thing is, friends who went with us ended up buying an RX - they had no intention of buying a car. It was a good day for LHM!

I am feeling the same way, and I like how the new wheels look. Do you have the part number for the new wheels?

Part # is 42611-60E80 The best price I found was at Bell Lexus in Scottsdale. That was a Black Friday special, so I don't know if it will be the same, but I would feel better knowing I was buying a genuine OE Lexus wheel rather than going through an aftermarket wheel shop. In fact, they are great for any part you need.
