Wow this is dope and exactly what I want to do. No crazy mods, just bring the wheels out a bit. Perfect!

Default Loved the spacers but....

I got rid of them after failure to cure vibration at 60+mph. After couple of rebalance I removed the spacers then bam no more vibrations. I really liked the stance with spacers/oem wheel. But wife got these for me for christmas after hitting a small jackpot at a casino lol
TRD PRO bronze with yokohama geolander 265/70/17. No rubbing after heat gun treatment and that one bolt replacement. Perfectly flush now!

Love the new setup! I am considering the same wheels. Did you go with OEM or are those replicas?

About 12 years back I was riding shotgun in a friends STI when the front right spacer failed. I’m not sure how I survived, honestly not. The entire wheel came THROUGH the firewall and in between my legs. I got burnt pretty bad. Y’all crazy running spacers, especially if you’re not the one wrenching on them (brake work etc). Good luck!

To your last point ... SpiderTrax has the quality ... but does not matter ... maybe a good original installation, but then rotor replacement where the "technician" has no clue. Simply not worth the risk unless one (per the above) has the skills to take control of their destiny. Bottom line ... buy wheels with the preferred offset and avoid this potential disaster ...

That setup looks great! Was thinking about doing the same to mine just can't decide between bronze or black.

Ebay does not make parts. They sell oem, fake, whatever parts. I've purchased infinite oem parts on ebay for 23+yrs. Of course you need to do your research before buying them. They came from Autonation toyota dealership in FL.

This was one of the reasons I got rid of spacers. I'm sure 98% of people running then will be fine. Didn't want to chance it and be liable if somebody gets hurt when wheel does come off.

I removed my wheels several times the first few thousand miles after installing the spacers to retorque the lugs on the spacers, which were perfectly fine each time. If they are high quality spacers and torqued to spec with appropriate loctite used there is nothing to worry about.

I friend of mine had his jeep wheel fall off going down the highway.

Daredevil that I am, though, I still run wheels.

seen plenty where spacers cause issues. from wheels zipping past the vehicle, early wheel bearing failures, host of others.
but if you run them do check them at every oil change. and change the oil. and check each time someone else does work or even inspections on it.
check them = torque wrench

i like stock, drive on enough gravel roads its nice to have the tires in.
