Default My '17 GX with 1.25" wheel spacers

I'm not a fan of adaptors but couldn't stand how the the wheels are tucked in too much. Don't want to spend too much money on mods and I'm not a hardcore offroader so happy with it. Thought about TRD wheels but nah I like oem wheels so here it is. On my z32 I have 1.5" hubcentric spacers with extended studs which I think is better way to do this.

Google KAX gx460 wheel spacers. I only got 7 turns with lug nuts provided so i purchased extended shank lug nuts on amazon which I had to shorten the shank a bit. There are other brands like KSP that comes with extended shank lug nuts.

Looks good. It seems like they do poke out just a bit from the edge of the fender if you are looking from the top down? Do you have a leveling kit on it as well, or just the spacers?

Never understood the obsession in maintaining the OEM wheels ... yes, Toyota / Lexus wheels have way-too-inboard (Soccer Mom) offset ... but best to purchase wheels with the preferred offset versus using spacers. Too many reported nightmares ... quality of the spacers ... and beyond that, "technician" error when changing out the brake rotors (do a 4-Runner / GX Search) ... simply not worth the risk in either case ...

Understood. Trust me I'm not obssessed with oem wheels. Just not a fan throwing money at mods. I'd rather invest that money. I stopped modding my Z 8 yrs ago to invest in crypto. Since then I appreciate stock look of cars. I also own a tesla MYP. Just because I've seen some teslas catch fire that won't stop me from getting one is an example. If done right it should be perfectly safe.

All stock. It does slight poke out which I don't mind. You could go with 1" spacers but rear studs will need to be trimmed which I'm not a fan of. My next to do is get slightly larger AT tires.

I've thought about this, but since I am running 4Runner TRD offroad wheels with a +15mm offset, 1.25" spacers would put me at a -17mm offset and I dont want that. I would like to be around a 0.

Stock GX wheels would be fine but I dont want an 18" wheel.

I actually have TRD offroad wheels almost new in box. Had them for 3 yrs now to put on 08 GX470 I had and sold. These would look weird on my GX. If I had a base model GX it would look good but keeping my 18's.
I've seen GX460's with 4 runner offroad wheels with beefier tires and they do look good.

They arn't my favorite wheels ever but they look decent and were dirt cheap. 5 of these and 5 285/70R17 KO2 takeoffs from a Wrangler Rubicon cost me like $1200 total.

Ahh so 1.25" is the minimum thickness needed to keep everything else stock? Thanks

Looks great. I did the same to mine w/ Spidertrax 1.25" spacers. Tires are 265/65/18 Falken wildpeaks. Had to modify fender wells a bit after the spacers but now no rub.

That is a welldone mod! How long you had the spacers? No vibrations?

I've had them installed a couple of months now. Drives no different at all. Have removed wheels 2x since to make sure spacers were still torqued and they were still snug as a bug.

Just installed 1" spacers with the 19" sport rims, no issues at all installing and no need to trim rear studs.
