Excellent ! And Great news. This happened to me on a Jeep Wrangler. I plugged in a device to the ODB2 Port to disable the start stop feature. It had a parasitic draw and killed my battery twice - this was back in 2018. Ever since, I am very careful with plug in devices. I have a wireless CarPlay device on my 2023 GX (car link) - no issue and shuts off with power off.

I’m amazed that anyone would slap in a non-Toyota piece of Chinese-made electronics into their car and not check that thing first when their electrical system starts going haywire in their new car.
