Question: I am a newbie and I just bought a 2019 GX 460 (47k miles) can we upgrade the infotainment system to the newer version?

And is it worth the money to buy a 5/yr 150k mile warranty from Lexus or just keep the money in your pocket handy for eventual repairs?

No. it is not just a simple head unit, few pieces of trims swap, you will also require for new ECUs and other parts, even then, it may still not working.
