Default GX Oil Pressure Light, Vehicle Won’t Start

I got done with work yesterday and went to start my GX and it tried to start but failed to turn-over. The Low Oil Pressure light popped on. I’ve never seen a drop of oil leakage, the oil level is good,… what else can it be? It’s abandoned at work until I can fix it or have it towed in for repairs. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

The low oil pressure light is expected to be on unless the engine is running or cranking.

1. Does it crank when you try to start?
2. Do the dash lights dim while cranking?

Could you be a bit more specific? Battery's age?

1. Does it crank when you try to start? Yes, for about 4-5 seconds, but never turns over. Then the words “engine oil pressure low” appear in the center of the display.
2. Do the dash lights dim while cranking? No. Battery is two weeks old.

Do you hear the fuel pump running?
Since the oil pressure light is coming on when the engine is not running, its not an issue.

Possible that the tech who did the work earlier knocked/damaged the oil pressure sensor or wires coming from the sensor.

You say that it (engine) cranks but does not turn over? These terms are usually have the same meaning, so does the engine crank/turn over but does not actually start and idle, or cranks for 4-5 seconds and then just completely stops cranking when the oil pressure warning comes on???

It cranks but never gets started.

Hopefully it’s just a loose sensor or something.

Thanks

did you try starting with a squirt of starting fluid? after of course allowing stabilization time from last attempt. a quick way to check a lot of the system.
