Default Correct way to trickle charge battery

Hi everyone,

I have a 23' GX and it's currently not being driven for a few months. I trickle charge it about once every two weeks to maintain the battery.

My question is: Does anyone know the correct placement for the negative charge clamp? It should go on a ground location but I don't know where the ground location in the engine bay is.

Thank you.

On the battery posts .. buy a Noco 1-Amp Trickle Charger ... leave connected while not in use ...it is intelligent, so will charge as appropriate.

exactly correct. anywhere besides the posts will introduce small losses which will cause the charge voltage to be slightly different than the maintainer thinks is at the posts.

I wired SAE plugs to the battery and 2A intelligent charger, easy to connect and disconnect.
My GX sits most of the winter also so I just leave the charger on it when I am not driving it.

A battery maintainer is better than a trickle charger. It's intelligent, can be left on without fear of damaging battery. Worth the investment. Direct to battery posts.
