Question Best rims and tire combo that fits still fits in the spare.

I'm looking to buy either 17's or 18's and some AT tires, either the new BFG KO3s or Wildpeak AT4Ws. What's your favorite rim and tire combo that will still fit in the spare area?
FYI, I have no plans on lifting the GX, gonna keep it stock height, but cut some bumpers etc.

I'm trying to go with 17" TRD PRO wheels and 265/65 R17 wildpeaks, which should not rub at all and will fit into spare.

Do those TRD’s come in different offsets? What are you going with?

So what does that mean exactly? Will they sit further out or in the wheel wells?

+ means they are closer to the center of the truck, - means they are further away. The more negative you are, the more likely you will rub the inner fender when turning/flexing. Generally, you have less rubbing issues between +0 and +25, depending also on other factors, e.g. tire and wheel size.

+1 to this. Basically for GX, at +25 wheels are tucked in, at +4 they would be basically flush with fender, and at -number they would stick out. 🙂

This is great info, everyone; thanks for sharing.
Last question: is there a difference between the TRD and the TRD Pro rims?
