Hello All, I'm looking for some help regarding the hitch for my 2010 GX. I currently have the aftermarket receiver that bolts to the underside near the spare tire. I understand this is a class 3 and only rated for 5000lbs. I thought my vehicle had a tow package because it looks like hitch framing spanning the chassis and I have both the 4 and 7 plug trailer plugs off to the left side. All works well for towing my smaller boat. I would like to have the OEM setup that gives me the full 6500lb towing capacity. Do I need the full setup or is there just an OEM class 4 receiver that bolts to where my aftermarket one is? If I just need the small receiver part and not the whole assembly, does anyone know the part number? I'm having a heck of the time finding that. All I keep finding is the bracket. Thanks.

 

... you need the full-on hitch that also attaches to the side frame rails ... the rear cross-member attachment point (alone) is limited to 5,000 lbs.

 

It looks like the part number was PT22860140 but this shows as discontinued and the new part number is PT22860141. However with the new part number, it shows it is compatible with the 2013+ models. Does anyone know if the 141 part number works with the 2010? I found a few places that still have the 140 available but wasn't sure of differences/compatibility. Thanks
