Default Seat heating/cooling

I am looking to purchase a GX and have been narrowing choices online . I have driven a couple and think they are fantastic. I broke my back many, many yrs ago ( wife was 8 mos preg with our first!) and so i run my seat heater 24/7/365 regardless of weather. My question is : if a GX has heated seats does it also have cooled ones. My wife would like seat cooling. Is there an option package that these came with or is heat/cool standard? Thank you.

GXs either have both heat/ventilation or neither. These came in different packages depending on the year, so look for the dial switches on each side of the front cubby. Versions not equipped with them will just have blanks there.

Don’t know about if you have heating it has cooling but will comment on the cooling. It’s not A/C cooling, it’s just a fan to move air. Also the heating is not very warm. Just warm and cycles to barely warm. Spoiled by my Audi seat heater.

I wonder if the seat heating output went down over the years?

I do recall many saying the heated steering wheel isn't as hot on '20+

On my '12 I have to turn them down and they get hot. I am used to weak seat heaters that you just leave on high in my Infiniti and Mazda.

Cooling/ventilation performance seems to be regional. It works well for me in WA state but often hear from those in warmer climates it isn't adequate.

My 2012 has both, but the ventilating was so so. I added the mod to have the rear vent under the seats blow directly up and it works great now. I thought it was pretty much standard on all trim of the 460, but could be mistaken.

The heated driver seat in my '23 460 Premium will toast your nits on HI, as will the wife's '22 RX450.

Do you have a link for this mod? I didn’t see it in the Sticky.

To get seats to feel cool I find that I have to put aircon on high and select either face/footwell or just footwell. That way some of the conditioned air is brought through the seat via the fan.

Some say not worth it, but I could tell the difference - not super strong but a vast improvement and feels good after the gym and during the summer.
