The spot I had to cover was on the very edge of the wheel well, and it blended pretty well. I haven't needed to do a spot in a "more visible" area, but I think it would be ok.
A fair amount of lexus colors are applied in stages, so you have to apply a base, top, and clear coat for them to really match. So for certain colors applying an all in one color won't ever look right.

That's how the one I got from Touch Up Direct was. Base color, top color, and clear coat. I had a chip down to bare metal, so I also used a rust neutralizer/preventer before the base.
You get three bottles: Base coat, pearl coat and clear coat.
When I did the touchups I skipped the primer and clear coat as someone on CL said it wasn't needed. Well I regret doing that as I worked pretty hard to blend the work with multiple sanding steps (hole punch, sand paper, super glue, glued sandpaper on pencil eraser) and the paint isn't holding up. It really needed a clear coat to protect the paint imho...so word of advice don't skip the clear coat. I would also be curious about scratches/scuffs down to bare (black) plastic or metal. I didn't apply a primer on the bumper repairs and I I don't think the basecoat is meant to be applied directly to bare plastic.
