My 2010 GX interior review

You could order them from the dealer. They are usually pre painted from the factory with an adhesive backing. The only thing is, they are very pricey. Also i'm not too sure if these mouldings require fasteners/tabs where these tabs lock into pre-drilled holes in the door skin. You may want to call your Lexus parts counter a call.

have you been in the RX recently? even the 2nd gen has hard plastic on the door panels. Im not sure what you are referring to when you say hard plastic doesnt belong on a lexus, because as for as I can see, they use it plentifully.

With regards to the 2GX, my experience on seeing the front interior in person was that it was a definite upgrade, in a similar style as the 3LX, namely there is the silver plastic trim and Bubinga wood, and hence more modern. Yes, there are hard plastics on the door handles, but the seats have softer leather, etc. There are tradeoffs but it is an improvement for the front dash area.

I was told body side molding are NOT available on the base model and cannot be ordered through the parts dept. Perhaps a body shop can get them....they have to have access in order to repair after an accident. The doors do have to be drilled to install.
