Greetings. New member from Pittsburgh, PA area. My wife and I have a new 2023 GX Luxury somewhere in the ocean on its way to us. Supposed to be here early to mid September. Pearl white with ecru interior, sport package and multi terrain/panoramic camera.
We had driven a Genesis GV80 (the whole dealer experience was just exasperating though), an Acura MDX Type S Advance and regular Advance (she just didn’t love either one) and a Volvo XC90 (she loved the style but keeping one long term concerned me greatly though). Anyway, the GX style has been her favorite for as long as they’ve made them and since we don’t care about all the crazy new tech, we figured this was our last chance for the tried and true GX.
We’ve owned a 08 Toyota Sienna and currently a 16 Highlander and really wanted to stick with that famous Toyota reliability. I drive a 18 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali crew cab, 6.5 bed with the 6.2 v8.
Lots of great info here and looking forward to learning more about the vehicle.
Wife’s vehicle got destroyed by hail here in Colorado and so began looking for a new vehicle. Looked at Mazda, Honda, Toyota and a few others…
Found a Mazda in Albuquerque NM, dealer said they’d hold. We drive 5hrs one way from Colorado only to be told they messed up and it’s already sold. Talk about doing everything possible to keep it together. Drive 5hrs back.
Asked her to look at Lexus, she does while out on Sunday and finds a couple she likes at our local dealership on Sunday.
I drop her off at work Monday and head straight to Lexus. Grab the first sales person I see, look at the two vehicles my wife looked at Sunday. Decided the NX 350 was the one out of the two, has everything she wanted.
Start paperwork, headed out to grab her to finalize everything over her lunch.
Meanwhile I am eyeballing a 2023 GX sitting on the lot…..take it for a test drive and I’m sold.
Ended up trading in my 2019 Raptor for the 2023 GX and had some serious buyers remorse.
I had a 2012 4Runner before the Raptor and while I liked the Raptor I regretted getting rid of the 4Runner.
Buyers remorse wore off after I started looking deeper into the GX platform.
Hello forum, this is my first post. Monday I picked up a 2023 Premium, Nighfall Blue, Sepia w/ML sound. It's headed to the guy to have PPF and windshield film installed next week. Some time soon I plan to remove the rear seats and do some kind of cover over the back. I have already been scouring the 3rd row removal thread. We hope to keep this one a long time. Of our previous several cars we found some reason to trade them in before 60k miles.
Picked up a brand new '23 GX -- 400 miles on it currently -- I have a engine sound -- Sounds like a metallic burble at idle -- seat vibrates -- sound get strong near driver side wheel well -- Is this normal or should I have the dealer look at it?

Also any PPF recommendations in NYC?
You might be better off posting your question in it's own post, I get the feeling that this sticky doesn't get much traffic as this particular forum doesn't seem to have a ton of traffic.
When you get your GX, please introduce yourself and your vehicle here!

hi ya..New to this . I just purchased with 60,000 miles a 2015 GX460 base. The color is called gold..Per the dealership.
White leather interior Or semi leather interior... problem I seem to have... I bought it with a warranty and The driver side front CV boot leaks, and the dealership replaced it and at the next oil change at 4,000 Miles. They said it was leaking although they don't remember that they replaced it. and I thought it was just a loose band...Because the boot didn't have any rips.. does anyone know why it might leak again after being replaced ? I'm starting to wonder if it was actually done. And I plan on doing some soft off-road and looking at skid plates and everything I look at seems like if you were to scrape a bolt you would never be able to take it off again.Any help out there ? suggestions to a new GX owner?
Hello all. Elcorbs here. Just purchased a 2023 GX Premium Plus Sport Design with Captains chairs. It is Eminent White Pearl with Ecru interior. It has Dark Grey Metallic 19” wheels. M/L audio. I had a 2017 GX till 2021 and traded it for a needed pick up truck. Should not have done that. Regretted that mistake. My wife’s Honda CRV needed replacing so we are back to the GX. Not a lot of changes to the new GX, but those changes do make it a better vehicle.
Did a lot of research and opted for the Atomic Silver/Black with Premium plus. Not planning a lot of off-roading but more of a cruiser for long trips and a bit of lux for local runabout. 1st mod will be a Xpel bumber/partial hood & fender plus headlights and tints followed by LED interior/exterior bulb replacement. Cant understand why they do not have LED for aux lighting. Any mods recommended in starting out?
Just picked up this month to get a vehicle built for the long haul! This is the wife’s primary vehicle. She likes it better than the 21 Palisade!
Tell us some details about your new Lexus including;
1. 2010 Base? Not sure how I tell!?! Does not have adjustable air ride.
2. Silver / Black 3. Navigation / Mark Levinson - I don’t think so! 4. TRD wheels with GY Duratracs 265/70/17 including the spare
5. Victory roof rack and tailgate drop down table
6. looking to upgrade shocks. Looks like original shocks and we are at 185k miles.
Looking for advice on suspension upgrades. Trying not to lift but maybe just a small lift so I don’t have to do several other mods and put strain on ujoints etc. Previous owner mentioned Bilstine 5100s would give another 1.5”. Not sure how without a lift.
2019 GX premium. Just bought used in Bay Area. Less than 30k miles. Pearl white (or whatever Lexus’s fancy name is for white). All stock. Drives great so far. I bought it to replace my 1999 LX 470, which is a wonderful vehicle and I will be sad to see it go when I sell it soon.
Traded in my 2020 Wrangler for this 2022 GX Premium last week. Got the windows tinted and 265/65/18 Falken Wildpeaks put on this week. The tint is 20% over factory and 50% on windshield. Loving it so far!
2023 Luxury with Sport Package
Caviar with Black interior
Got it a couple weeks ago, replaced our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland that we had since new.
