Coming to you live from the Forgotten Coast area of North Florida!
After 6 months of searching; I finally pulled the trigger. I had been split between a 4runner, Expy, Tahoe, and the GX... 4runner was sluggish on the tow, Expy cam phaser issue concerned me, not a fan of GM products, and then the GX.... maybe only spacial concern? SO! From Baton Rouge, Mobile, Atlanta, Miami and finally just north of Tampa - I had been searching for a black on black 460 premium with bench seat; finally got over the black exterior hurdle and... pulled the trigger. Every GX I searched for I used the lexus app to look for maintenance history, some had all, some had none.

2020 GX 460 Premium, 56k miles (a lot for a 20)
great service history, previous corporate lease that turned to buyer, previously L-Certified.
Nebula Gray Pearl, Fully black interior (better than the two-tone '19s I had tested)
The interior is worlds better than the '19s I test drove; Gray Sapele wood trim instead of the hardwood colour; heated seats front and second rows, already had the lexus all-weather mats (with original mats and cargo tonneau cover
The only issue known is that the outside temperature sensor doesn't work. not concerned.

On order or planned:
- tow hitch so I can hook up the boat; (should be here early next week)
- mole panels for console and one rear window
- new charcoal TRD wheels and wildpeaks,
- victory third row modular system (to remove the bulk and rear seats, add space)
- and eventually a small lift, 2" or less to level out.

I WFH so she'll only be driven a couple times a week and then be used for road-trips / tournament trail. This is replacing my 2012 Xterra that I've had forever, she's at 193k miles and I'll likely put her on market shortly.

Default wifes new 2023

Picked up last week a 2023, premium plus with the sport package and captains chairs. Had a Toyota camry. Wanted the wife to get an suv for the massive amount of snow we get up here in Maine. She really loves it. I already ran over a raccoon with it last night and it was a big boy. No damage I can see thankfully. Currently have 2 other vehicles with a thirsty v8. 2015 tundra and a 2014 Camaro SS.

My New 2023 GX Luxury with Rioja Red with Off-Road Package

What I've done so far.
  • I added 15% ceramic tint on all windows (except front, just clear ceramic).
  • I added a FitcamX oem looking camera. Recording quality could be better but really nice plug and play OEM look.
  • Got all weather mats as well.
Help me to mod it with things I should add right away that are simple and things I should add that take more time. I do plan to take it off-roading, in the snow, road trips.

I want new wheels and tires like KO2 or wildpeaks but open to suggestions. I was thinking about getting the TRD Pro rims from the 4Runner but I think there is a lexus similar looking rim in an 18'

A few questions
  1. If I got down to 17in rims, what's the biggest tire size people have put on with minimal modifications, eg, heat gun to move the inner fenders a bit, changing out the bolt with a flat head one. I had 275/70/17 on my 4Runner. Could I run those in KO2 or another off-road tire with minimal modifications?
  2. If I get an 18" rim, could I still run 275/70/18?
  3. my 4Runner tires were load E which were heavy so I'd like to get a lighter tire if possible.
  4. I had to do a rear diff breather mod on my 4Runner. Do I need to do that for my GX as well?
  5. I'd like to swap the interior lights to brighter white led types. Are there any good kits that people recommend
  6. This has the off-road package so comes with some skid plates, but are they good enough to project the car? If not, any good brands to look at for a complete skid plate system?
  7. Im going to replace the side skirts with rock sliders. Any good brands to look at it?
  8. I'd like to replace the chrome taillights with the darker ones. Anyone selling a set locally in Los Angeles area or want to swap for chrome?

2023 White with sepia interior Lux. Enough pics already on here, y'all know what it looks like...Funny, wanted a 4Runner for years but just never pulled the trigger. Now I'm old, and honestly just found out about the GX and the 4Runner being cousins just a couple of months ago. I am not the typical Lexus owner, I'm in the Toyota class. Then I made the mistake of reading about the V8 (yep, an old man, and a V8 lover) and couldn't bare to not try to get one before they were gone forever. Used prices just too high for me, so new was the only way, at least that is what I told my wife.
Daughter has a 4Runner and is she gonna be so disappointed when she drives this......

Did not find the super deals everyone seems to be getting, but I did get exactly what I wanted. I love it, the wife loves it, and it will take me to my grave.
NE, South Carolina.

Did you modify the plastic fender for clearance, or did it fit just fine ? Thanks. I'm considering this tire also on my 23 GX

First GX. Had RX and ES prior. Love the burly v8, ride height and all these tactile buttons. Averaging 18 mpg.. for now. Got one with the Bridgestone duelers, not a fan so far.
