We did not do anything with the suspension like a lift because it takes me down a $10,000 rabbit hole of bumpers and accessories, so that wont happen.
When you get your GX, please introduce yourself and your vehicle here!
Tell us some details about your new Lexus including;
1. Year and package
3. Color or the exterior and interior
2. Navigation or no navigation / Mark Levinson
4. Option Packages or options (RSES, park assist, etc)
and other details such as pictures you might have of your GX or tell us what you drove previously
and congratulations from Club Lexus!
Hello!!
new GX owner here this week, but lifetime Lexus owner
1.) 2021 Lexus GX460 Premium Plus package
2.) Nightfall Mica Blue w/Black interior(rare combo
3.) Nav without ML system. I’m a real audio junkie and can tell a big difference.
4.) basic options(folding mirrors, heated wheel, etc)
Next mods: a much needed detail, tint, rims & bigger tires to start.
Just picked up a 2021 GX460 Premium (sport package) with 33k miles for $48k in Arizona, specifically to do road trips.
I've owned an FJ and a 4Runner in the past so this was a natural progression.
Looking forward to spending the next few days (or weeks) reading and learning about this beast!
Bought this 2010 from dealer with 200K miles, for $10k cash. Tranny never serviced so I will prob need one sooner or later, but shifts good for now the only thing i noticed is when turning around and going forward to reverse, reverse takes a second to engage.
Hi there. Maybe this one's a bit unusual. I live in Peru and, for some reason that I can't figure out, the version of the GX we get is the GCC spec (Middle Eastern model).
2023 GX460
Model: URJ150L-GKTZKV
Black Onyx/Black
Comes with the new tablet-style infotainment (with Auto/Carplay) and 360 parking assist.
Package/options: we only get one model, so not sure what to call it. It has crawl control, standard front bumper, transmission cooler, metal guard for the fuel tank, no EGR valve, rated at 292 hp instead of 301 (maybe has to do with the missing EGR valve?), 3-zone climate, no tow hook, no remote start, no built-in navigation (though it does show the GPS coordinates ...funny), no internet connectivity (outside Auto/Carplay).
My only complaint: apparently in Arab countries there's some law that cars need to have an audible alarm when exceeding 120 km/h, and so this car will beep very annoyingly the second you pass that speed and show you a "speed limit exceeded" sign in the dashboard. Not an everyday concern (top speed here is 100 km/h and you only get to 120 when passing), but still annoying! Apparently this "feature" is hard coded into the dash, and the only way to disable it would be to get a dash from another region and swap it.
Other than that I love the car. I've taken it offroading in the desert and it performs great.
just picked up a 2014 gx460 with good service history but little cosmetic bumps and bruises which allowed good price
coming off a q7 with the 3.0 that had oil consumption issues and failed catastrophically, previous to that was a tdi tuareg that sucked fuel pump through its system and then was rebought by vw during dieselgate drama
had a gx470 for a few years previously and decided time to get back to reliability even if mpg takes a hit, the 460 feels familiar already, really enjoying it so far
been reading up on the platform, thanks for all the info here, looking to clean up some of the cosmetic stuff, need a new grille, left fog light, backup cam is foggy, couple other little things here and there, but this will be a rig that gets used and abused so not going for perfection
Bought a 2015 GX460 with 90k miles on her two weeks ago. Previously owned a 97 80 Series. The GX460 feels like a sports wagon compared to the 80. Looking forward to the next adventures beyond the mall!

Pictures - we need pictures! Yeah, an alarm at that speed - or any speed - would be very annoying. Congrats on your purchase.
