Just picked up a certified used 2022 for my wife with 30k. I little bit of rust on the frame (we are in NE Ohio and it’s only a tiny bit here and there on the welds) that I will wire brush off, put rust encapsulator, then put fluid film on for the winter. The wife likes it, thinks it’s comfortable and loves the headroom (she is 6 foot and I am 6’ 5). She got rid of a 2019 rav4 hybrid limited and only misses the 360 camera. I don’t miss cable gate round 2.
We did have a 2017 4Runner so she knows the capability, but I will skip the rack and aggressive tires this go around. Today I drive an expedition limited but it’s a work vehicle so no complaints there. In the short term I will grease the zerks and drive shafts because I bet those were not done.
Long time lurker and finally an owner again. I originally came here when I was searching for a 5spd SC3 to do a 2JZ swap roughly 20 years ago. My IS250 came and went, wife drives an RX, but I finally daily drive a Lexus again! I was on the fence about selling my 2018 4Runner, but if I was able to find a deal that was a low cost upgrade, I would do it. I was able to find a 44k mile GX that a guy just bought from a Lexus dealer in CA, then took a new job and had to sell the GX. He took a loss because of his timeline, I picked it up for $34.5k. Stoked that my Runner still fetched me $30k after driving it for 5 years and paying $35k for it. It was a great rig, but onto a new project.
1. 2019 Premium 3. Nebula on Black 2. Navigation 4. Pretty standard Premium equipment
Already ordered MTS and the 20+ grill, swapped my all weather mats (perfect match from 5th gen 4Runner), Pedal Commander (also swapped from 4Runner). I am eyeing a Camburg/Bilstein lift and I am undecided on a wheel/tire combo. I may just run 4Runner TRD wheels and replace the center caps. This will be pulling my Smittybilt Scout Trailer on hunting and camping trips, looking forward to the road less traveled. Thrilled to have my Tuxedo Prado!
