New to Me 2011 GX460!
Hello Everyone -
I just picked up a 2011 GX460 Premium with every option but the radar cruise control and front/side cameras. It's Satin Cashmere Metallic with the Sepia interior. The interior of this vehicle is nicer than my first house. I bought it from a wholesaler, so I got an extremely good deal. $36K for a late model luxury SUV with 50K miles is a win, in my book. I've owned many luxury cars before - M-B, Porsche, BMW, Infiniti - but for the last 4 years I've been driving a 2007 Nissan Frontier LE. Loved that I didn't care about what I drove, never washed it and didn't care where I parked. So this is a big change for me.
I'm looking forward to learning more about Lexus and enjoying my new ride. Thanks to everyone who contributes to this knowledge base on these fine automobiles.
Cheers!

I called local dealer and said that my vehicle did not come with factory moulding and I could not order from them. But Sewell sells them on line. Any modifications needed to install them? Thank you

I'm assuming that you are talking about the body side moulding that goes on the doors. They just stick on with 2 sided tape.

New purchase and first lexus!
Hubby and I decided to finally bite the bullet yesterday and we bought 2 lexus vehicles! He got an ES350 and I got the GX460. I won't see mine for a couple of weeks but am driving a loaner car from the dealer until it comes in since I sold my car! Can't wait. It was a super hard decision and I am hoping I made the right one. Ordered White with Sepia (was back and forth with the ecru, think I liked both a lot but was worried about the staining on the ecru). Did get the Luxury package so I am pretty stoked! Can't wait to see it! What do you all think of that Sepia interior. They actually had an ecru coming in as well and I have gone back in forth in my head on asking them to change it

I was real torn when I purchased as well between the 2 colors and I'm very happy that I went with the Sephia. I can't even imagine how hard it would have been for me to take care of the Ecru as I use mine both as a truck and a luxury vehicle. Last weekend I had 16 bags of mulch and 10 bags of soil in the back, that would have been ugly on Ecru, just my dirty jeans alone!

My '06 GX has ecru seats but my new '14 GX has the sepia. I LOVE SEPIA. It looks so very classic and is much easier to keep clean. You made a good choice.
I wish I hadn't bought the black exterior though. I hate it. It only looks good the day that I get it washed. One quick drizzle/rain or even drive through a sprinkler and the water marks are really noticeably ugly. UGH!
I get my car washed every 2-3 weeks and it still looks dirty most of the time. My next car will be NOT BLACK.
